We had an encouraging meeting last evening in Ezekiel Network!

We are studying the life of Joseph, son of Jacob (Gen. 37-50). We are amazed at how his story speaks to us today. We were struck by how the patterns of Joseph's life point to and foreshadow the pattern of Yeshua the Messiah's life (sold, betrayed by his brothers for pieces of silver, humiliated and exalted, and more).

We had a fresh example of the Romans 11:11 principle ("provoke the Jews to jealously" by letting them see what we have through knowing their Messiah)- Erminia, who loves Israelis, and is always (providentially) meeting them, met 50 Israelis at the hotel where she works yesterday. She was able to share something about one of the Bible stories, and they were impressed that she knows them better then they do.

Ezekiel Network Meeting November 4, 2008 PDF Print E-mail

If you are local, Please join us tomorrow evening for our Ezekiel Network meeting. We will be focusing on  Genesis 42, using the "Storying" approach (all of us absorb the story together, and dig out its treasures).  We are becoming anchored in these foundational stories of the nation of Israel.

We had a great time last week in Genesis 41.

In this episode, Joseph's brothers make an appearance before him, as he is prime minister of Egypt. Joseph's God-given destiny is in process of being fulfilled.

This is a time of testing, for both Joseph and his brothers. I believe this has application to our nation, as we undergo a time of testing through the election which will take place on this same day. Vote before you come, or after you leave!

If you are not local, please pray for us. We had a pre-believing Jewish young man attend last week. Pray he and many others come and encounter the LORD Messiah through us and His Word.
